STILL DOES NOT MISS! The #11 always fills me up. I typically get the sichuan flavor hot soup, it comes with beef slices, napa cabbage, fish fillets, imitation crabmeat, enoki mushrooms, tofu, potato slices, clams, zucchini and scallions for topping. The broth is a pork bone based flavored and yes, it has some kick to it so make sure to get spice level that's to your comfort Service never disappoints. They are on top of their sh*t, very attentive, always making sure they are making rounds for more broth or refills. Ambiance is clean, they usually have great music playing and they maintain a clean restroom, which I appreciate!
I honestly don't like sea food. So I only have order 2 dishes that have less sea food items than others. Everyone else I go out with likes those items so I usually give them anytime that comes with that I don't like. The broth is very good. But if you don't like sea food or have an aversion to it. I would definitely look at the menu before going. I been to its sister restaurant and both are good. I think this location is bigger. Kinda modern with bold colors and art mural on the wall. The bowls con with a sterno can that keeps it warm. They also have more broth they can add to the soup. The service is prompt and polite. Definitely recommend trying!
This is a Taiwanese restaurant and it's a bit like shabou fondu but you get your own bow keeps boiling until your tune it off. Tip: You need your phone to order from a QR code. The soup is comes with extra of everything you can opt out of certain things example: pigs blood, tendent, fish balls.. yes those are the one opted out! I chose the vermicelli noodles instead of rice it was free and they have other options or you can add things like broccoli, ramen. Tip: Don't add cabbage it's comes with plenty of it! Turn off your soup after 3-5 min or stir your ingredients if your don't want it to burn, it's a bit like a roaring fire, you will thank me later. Not too many drink choices other than tea or soda. Stuck with free water and on large parties gratuity comes included from what is saw when I ordered in my phone and then when the bill comes option for anger tip. I double tipped by accident. Nice place for group or family or if you want to dine alone its pretty quiet so you can enjoy your meal.
My girlfriend and I came in as part of the yelp elite tasting. The food was delicious. Everything was cooked fresh and had a powerful umami flavor. I had the beef soup, which was very tender and rich. My girl had the lamb. She said it was good, but could've done without some of the cabbage. It was a little overloaded. The service itself was a 10/10. The came around asking to add broth to your dish. So for the broth lovers, we can appreciate extra broth. Also they were very attentive and polite. Walking in the initial reaction was how full the restaurant was. Good music playing. So the vibes were also there. Definitely recommend for the colder days here in Phoenix.
Delicious broth, generous ingredients and attentive service! I love their tangy tomato broth. The hot pot is full of delicious things to nibble on over the perfect bowl of rice. They do charge for additional rice but it is worth ordering more. They come around often to add broth to your bowl. Beautiful presentation!.
I missed the Yelp Elite event, but decided to try this restaurant out today anyway. Service was excellent. Definitely 5 stars plus on that. Restaurant was clean and comfortable. The food was also very good, but overwhelming for a newbie like myself. Every dish has so many ingredients (which I assume is normal!). I was asked if I wanted to omit anything, but I honestly didn't know what I wanted, so for the dish as was. The taste was great. I liked many of the included ingredients, and could've done without others just as personal preference. The cost was higher than expected, but not unusual these days at any restaurant. If you like Taiwanese hot pot, this place is worth checking out.
Well, I have never had a tasty pot before. Glad my SIL was with me or I might have left my pot burning away. Had a bit of a wait until we were seated, particularly for a Tuesday evening. I had the miso tasty pot. It was tasty, but I had sooo much food leftover for the next day, and of course, the next day I wanted something else, as I just wasn't in the mood for my tasty pot. I did have their winter melon drink that was so good. Going to have to drink that again!!
I have been visiting regularly from when they first opened to my most recent visit on Mother's Day. I am aware of the ownership change that happened right around New Years as well and have visited twice since then. Service this visit was on the low end. There were 2 servers who you could tell did not want to be there. Every time I said thank you, it was met with an "uh huh". This was a special day out for many folks and you could at least put in some effort to be a little more polite. Positive changes include better business hours and no changes to the menu. I don't believe the prices changed either so far. If they did, I didn't notice. Thankfully, they kept the rewards program and the points earned prior to the ownership change were kept in place. Negative changes include kitchen not honoring special requests made to orders. To be clear, it IS allowed but kitchen staff seems to purposefully disregard it. Previous ownership never had issues with this but both my visits with new ownership failed each time. I hate clams and always get them removed. Guess who found clams in her order time and again? There was a table next to me where one person was allergic to seafood and I assumed they let the server know to remove all seafood ingredients. When the pot came to the table, it was immediately sent back. Even with serious allergy issues, the kitchen staff still doesn't seem to care unless you raise the issue. It should never come to that but alas. I cannot in good conscious recommend this place if you have strict dietary restrictions. Otherwise, if you are not too terribly of a picky eater this is an excellent option for a meal. They also seem to be regularly out of ingredients for the milk teas. Never had this issue with previous ownership but again, not too much of an inconvenience if you are flexible and not picky. On my personal scale, this dropped to a 3.5 stars but I'm keeping it at a 4 for Yelp. The food and drinks remain extremely delicious but the servers and kitchen especially really need to get it together.
Interesting dining concept. You sit down and scan a QR code to order your food. If you don't have a smart phone, you can order through the server. I was excited that the majority of the customers were Asian. That always makes me feel like the food is authentic. Is it wrong to say these days? Please don't cancel me! This has a very classy, an upscale feel, except for the plastic glasses and plasticware which didn't seem to fit the classiness on this place. I had the Seafood Lobster Hot Soup which I enjoyed. I will be back to try some of the other menu items.
